Did you know your city is a major tourist attraction? If not, or if you’ve simply forgotten, get out! …Out on the town that is, and see what your city has to offer. For starters, there are world-class art exhibits, distinct restaurants, stylish shopping, lively entertainment, and as we’re sure you know, plenty of pro sports. Do something different by sampling some artistic culture at the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection, and the Meadows Museum. Take the kids to Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Speedzone Dallas, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Louis Toussaud’s Palace of Wax, the Dallas World Aquarium, or the Dallas Zoo. There’s also plenty to see at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Afterwards, treat yourself to cutting edge cuisine on Greenville Avenue, and then get a taste of Dallas nightlife on Knox-Henderson, Deep Ellum, the upscale West Village, or the historic West End. If you’d rather catch some live action sports instead, turn off the television, get off the couch, and visit the Texas Motor Speedway, a Texas rodeo, the Dallas Mavericks, the Texas Rangers, or your one-and-only Dallas Cowboys. Whatever you choose, it’s not far away and you’re sure to have a better time than sitting at home.

Great Steaks, Fun Times at Outback Steakhouse

Outback SteakhouseThe essence of Outback Steakhouse is big, bold food made fresh everyday accompanied by a laid back ‘no worries’ Aussie attitude. The menu offers a flavorful mixed grill of juicy steaks, tender chicken, fresh fish and pasta dishes. All of Outback's soups, sauces, dressings and desserts are homemade made from scratch daily. The restaurant’s signature dishes include USDA Choice beef seasoned with a blend of secret spices, handmade croutons, hand cut fries and the original Bloomin' Onion.

Outback’s selling point though is its atmosphere. The servers, also known as Outbackers, are friendly, knowledgeable and most of all fun.

Outback SteakhouseIn fact fun seems to be the theme of the restaurant. Even the casual decor is fun! Each restaurant features unique displays of Australian memorabilia - boomerangs, surfboards, maps and flags. It’s truly like vacationing in the Australian Outback! Overall, Outback Steakhouse is more than just a great steakhouse house with fabulous food, it’s ultimately a 'no worries' place to let go, relax and unwind with friendly faces.

When in Dallas, live by its motto: "Live Large. Think Big." This diverse city offers world-class art exhibits, distinct restaurants, stylish shopping, lively entertainment districts, and of course, professional sports. For a taste of artistic culture, try the Nasher Sculpture Center, the most extensive African art collection in the U.S at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University for Spanish art, or Fair Park for Art Deco architecture. Dallas can also be fun for the whole family. There’s Six Flags Over Texas for thrill rides, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for water park fun, Speedzone Dallas for both real and simulation racing, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not, which can spark anyone’s imagination. And you’re sure to do a lot of double-takes at Louis Toussaud’s Palace of Wax, which among many celebrities also has over 41 presidential likenesses from Washington to George W. Bush. If you’re looking for animals, look no further than the Dallas World Aquarium and the Dallas Zoo, and plant enthusiasts will love the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Shoppers can then catch a ride on the McKinney Avenue Trolley past exclusive shops and restaurants. For nightlife, try the offbeat bars, many which host live music, often blues, on Deep Ellum, cutting edge cuisine on Greenville Avenue, the shopping and trendy nightclubs on Knox-Henderson, the upscale West Village, or the historic West End. Finally, it’s no secret that Dallas takes its sports seriously, as home to the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, the Texas Rangers, the Texas Motor Speedway, the Cottonbowl, rodeos, and the five-time Super Bowl champions, the one-and-only Dallas Cowboys.

As one of the largest states in the Union, Texas, the Lone Star state, is big on tourism and huge on fun. Two thirds of the over 20 million folks who call Texas home live in its major metropolitan cities, like Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Aside from the typical things most big cities have to offer, like great food and exciting nightlife, folks in Houston can also sign up for space camp. In Dallas, nothing beats catching the Dallas Cowboys football team in action during a home game, or witnessing a true cowboy ride a live, bucking bull in a Dallas rodeo. And, in Austin, the city dubbed “Live Music Capital of the World”, there is always a good band playing and many other types of live entertainment, from theater to orchestras. If relaxing by the warm water of the Gulf of Mexico is more your speed, then head down to the state’s hundreds of miles of coastline. Aside from its many small, quaint beach towns, there’s also Corpus Christi, where you can enjoy a delicious seafood meal while watching the boats sail in and out of the harbor past the barrier islands located just off the mainland. Texas also has several water parks and amusement parks, including the famous Six Flags Over Texas. Whatever you decide to do in Texas, you’re bound to have a good time. And, before you leave, there are two things you definitely don’t want to forget, your luggage…and the Alamo.
